As a recognised birth and postnatal doula, I dedicate time antenatally to clients who invite me to share in their births. We look at the questions they have about pregnancy, birth and after the baby is born, and we discuss their options and the support they might need.
I want to share that same information more widely so that more women and their partners are able to feel better prepared for the birth of their baby. That’s why I now offer standalone antenatal sessions.
If you are looking for antenatal classes or preparation for birth then contact me for a chat and/or to book. Each antenatal preparation I do has the same overall structure but the beauty of it is that I can tailor it to your specific needs. I can help you, and your partner, find your way through the information and choices around pregnancy, birth and the early days.
What is involved?
Over the course of three sessions we’ll look at:
- birth plans/wish lists
- birth choices
- informed decision making
- maximising support
- after the birth
- early days with a new baby
£65 for all 3 sessions.
All the sessions take place in your home so you don’t have to leave the house at all.
There are 3 sessions included in the standard antenatal birth preparation, each lasting around 1.5-2 hours. Usually we will book these sessions for 3 consecutive weeks at an appropriate time for you. General availability includes weekdays and weekends.
